Covenant Insurance is a locally owned Fort Collins agency, and it has run the same way for nearly fifty years: quick answers, someone who picks up, and coverage built around your life instead of a script.
Our history
Same office, two owners.
- 1977
James Michalka opened the agency inside the Sears store, back when the Foothills Mall was brand new. He looked after this community and its customers for 48 years, and retired on October 1, 2025.
- 2025
Kendall Keil and his team lead it now. Kendall has been an insurance agent since 2007, and he intends to carry that same service and reputation into the decades ahead.

Meet the owner
Kendall Keil
Kendall was born and raised in Northern Colorado and has been licensed here and in Wyoming since 2007. He took over the agency on October 1, 2025. His background is in real estate and home construction, so when he tells you what a rebuild costs, that number comes from having done the work. A self-described car guy, he's in his element with multi-vehicle households.
